BREATHE & REWILD
7–13 February 2027 · Cape Agulhas, South Africa

Breathe & Rewild

A journey back to yourself, on the wild southern tip of South Africa.

What if seven days away offered space to set down what feels heavy, meet yourself with curiosity and compassion, and discover the strength that can live in being open?

7 days · 6 nights · An intimate women’s retreat

The invitation

A little less of the world around you.
A little more of yourself.

Breathe deeply. Feel freely. Reconnect with the woman you’ve always been.

Not to fix or reinvent yourself, but to explore who you are beneath the noise — with gentle curiosity rather than judgement. To discover that softness and strength can exist together, and that knowing yourself more deeply can leave you both more grounded and more open to possibility.

February on South Africa's southern coast

A brighter horizon. Room to breathe.

Beyond a beautiful week away

What might you discover about yourself?

You do not need to arrive with answers. Curiosity is enough.

This is not about fixing what is wrong or striving to become a better version of yourself. It is an invitation to explore, notice and feel — and perhaps find more compassion, courage and discernment in the way you meet yourself and the world.

01 / SPACE

Carry a little less.

Notice which roles, expectations or responsibilities feel heavy. Explore what is truly yours to hold — and what you may be ready to set down.

02 / COURAGE

Find strength in softness.

Discover that vulnerability need not be weakness. There can be quiet courage in acknowledging what you feel, without pressure to share more than you choose.

03 / COMPASSION

Meet yourself more kindly.

Bring curiosity to old patterns and familiar reactions. Make space for self-understanding instead of harsh judgement, without letting the past define you.

04 / DISCERNMENT

Trust your own compass.

Listen to what matters to you, question assumptions, and grow more confident in your choices — while remaining open to new evidence, ideas and changing your mind.

05 / ALIVENESS

Feel more fully alive.

Breathe, move, create, laugh and explore. Rediscover the pleasure and playfulness that everyday routines can quietly push aside.

06 / INTEGRATION

Bring it into your life.

Take home reflections, simple grounding practices and meaningful reminders that may help you keep choosing awareness and compassion in daily moments.

A little less armour. A little more honest strength.

Your experience is your own. There is no right way to feel, no pressure for a dramatic breakthrough and no requirement to agree with anyone else. We welcome thoughtful questions, fresh perspectives and the freedom to change your mind.

The experience

Not more to achieve. More room to explore.

Through breathwork and body-based practices, we make space to notice what happens within us — without racing to explain or change it. Mindfulness, sound and reflection offer opportunities to listen with compassion. Art and creativity offer a playful way to explore beyond words; friendship and the coastline remind us that inspiration, pleasure and openness belong here too.

We balance deeper sessions with generous time to rest, explore and integrate — because what matters is not just what happens here, but what you choose to carry forward.

01 / BREATHE

Conscious breathwork & embodiment

Body-based practices to feel, release and reconnect, with time and care for integration.

02 / LISTEN

Mindfulness & sound

Quiet moments, presence, singing bowls and compassionate reflection.

03 / REWILD

Art, creativity & exploration

Artful expression, inspiration, the wild coastline and shared moments of delight — with space to make unexpected discoveries.

The shape of our seven days

A journey to experience, not a timetable to complete.

There is an intentional rhythm to the week — space to listen, feel, explore, celebrate and integrate. We will share the practical schedule before you travel, while leaving some of the creative moments and rituals for you to discover when you are here.

01 / ARRIVE

Space to settle.

Step away from the everyday, meet the women beside you and arrive gently in the place and in yourself.

02 / EXPLORE WITHIN

Curiosity before judgement.

Through guided breath and body-based exploration, discover what deserves your attention — with freedom to go at your own pace.

03 / REWILD

Room for inspiration and delight.

Artful exploration, sound, the wild coastline, shared laughter and moments that invite a different way of seeing.

04 / INTEGRATE

Carry something meaningful home.

Gather what has felt true for you and consider how to make room for it in ordinary life — in your own way.

The retreat includes guided conscious breathwork experiences and practical breathing exercises, generous rest and integration time, and a balance of group connection and personal space. Outdoor plans may change with weather and tides. Participation in individual practices is approached with care and choice.

A different side of South Africa

At the end of a continent, the world feels wonderfully wide.

Our retreat is based in Struisbaai, in the Overberg region of South Africa's Western Cape, near Cape Agulhas — the southernmost point of the African continent and the geographical meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Think sweeping sandy shoreline, a working fishing harbour, low rocky coastline, indigenous fynbos, shipwreck stories and the historic Agulhas lighthouse. It's the sort of place where the sea and sky have room to breathe.

February is high summer on this coast: bright days, big skies and the joyful feeling of more daylight to explore. The ocean has its own wild character, with cooling breezes and occasional strong winds, so we plan outdoor moments around the weather.

Stand at Africa's southernmost tip, where the official boundary between two oceans is marked.

02 / A coast with stories

Explore the lighthouse, traces of shipwrecks and a landscape shaped by maritime history.

03 / More than the retreat

Discover coastal walks, local food and nearby wine-country and Overberg towns.

Travel with confidence

Far from familiar. Thoughtfully organised.

We know that a first trip to South Africa can raise questions, especially if you are travelling on your own. We want you to feel informed and supported, without pretending that any destination is risk-free.

We are planning one coordinated Cape Town airport collection and departure transfer, local transport for scheduled outings and clear pre-arrival guidance. You'll have a named host contact, accommodation details and the transfer plan before you travel.

Airport transfers, vehicles and driver arrangements are being finalised; exact times and costs will be shared before booking. Travelling independently? We'll provide practical arrival guidance.

Our intention

Come as you are.
Return with something of your own.

A clearer intention. A quieter mind. A deeper sense of permission to choose what matters to you. These are possibilities we make space for — not outcomes you have to perform.

A glimpse of where you'll stay

Space to settle. Space to come together.

Driftwood, our main retreat home, is where we will gather for much of our shared programme, with guest accommodation also in carefully chosen nearby homes. Some rooms are private; others are shared. You'll be able to choose with clear information about rooms and prices before booking.

A little more South Africa

Let the journey linger a little longer.

Coming from overseas? Allow an extra day or two to discover Cape Town's harbour, history and mountain views, wander among the vineyards, or take the scenic road towards the Garden Route. There are lovely ways to explore at different paces and budgets — with an organised tour, private guide or a carefully planned self-drive.

One or two days · Easy city exploring

Fall in love with Cape Town

Wander the V&A Waterfront, explore the city's cultural stories, visit Table Mountain when the weather allows, or take a sightseeing bus and let someone else do the driving.

One to three nights · Food, art and wine

Take it slowly in the Winelands

Stay in Stellenbosch or Franschhoek for vineyard lunches, Cape Dutch history, galleries and mountain scenery. The Franschhoek Wine Tram makes tastings easy without driving.

Discover the Winelands ↗
Four nights or more · Coast and forest

Follow the Garden Route

Give yourself time for Wilderness, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and lush indigenous forest. Enjoy a comfortable self-drive or enquire about a separate local-operator itinerary.

Garden Route inspiration ↗

South Africa has well-established visitor routes and experienced local operators. With sensible route planning, reputable transport and the usual big-city precautions, it's a rewarding place to explore. We can share our independent pre- and post-retreat travel ideas. These extra experiences are optional and are not included in the retreat fee. Ask us for the guest travel guide ↗

For the curious traveller

Not quite ready to leave South Africa?

For guests who want to make the most of their long-haul journey, we're exploring an optional four- to five-day post-retreat adventure with a local South African tour operator — perhaps a Garden Route escape or a short safari experience.

It's a chance to see more of this remarkable country while keeping Breathe & Rewild itself intimate and unhurried.

The extension is not part of the seven-day retreat, and its itinerary, capacity and availability remain to be confirmed.

Independent extension

Quoted in South African rand (R)

The local operator will provide the itinerary, ZAR price, booking conditions and payment arrangements. You book and pay the operator directly — separately from the retreat, which is priced in euros.

No add-on price or itinerary has been approved yet.

South African-born and raised, and now based in Monaco, Susan brings an approach rooted in compassionate curiosity, embodiment and the way we navigate change. Her perspective has been enriched by years exploring mindset, relationships and human potential — including as a multi-year member of Tony Robbins' Platinum Partnership and through learning directly from Tony and Sage Robbins, Sheila Kelley, Alison Armstrong, Esther Perel and Jaiya.

She also spent 20 months sailing around the world with her family, an experience that deepened her appreciation for adaptability, courage and what truly matters. Back on the wild coast of her home country, she invites women to listen to themselves more closely and discover the quiet strength that can arise through vulnerability.

She is trained in mindfulness, compassion and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Alongside her family, Irma runs Flintenhof in Orvelte, a shop specialising in minerals and singing bowls. At Breathe & Rewild, she invites women to explore through art, sound and compassionate attention — free to experiment, without pressure to create anything perfect.

Together, we bring depth and lightness, reflection and play — and a shared belief in the quiet strength of being fully yourself.

Good to know

Questions you may have

Do I need previous breathwork experience?

No particular experience is required, but we will share a confidential health and suitability questionnaire and preparatory information. Some breathwork practices are unsuitable for certain medical situations; alternatives and support will be discussed individually.

What does the retreat price include?

The final room-by-room prices and inclusions will be published before checkout. The plan includes six nights' accommodation, guided experiences and selected meals; international flights, airport transfers and the two lunches on Day 4 and Day 6 outings are separate. Guests pay those lunches directly at the chosen venue.

How will the deposit and balance work?

Once bookings open, the checkout will show the deposit, full package price, balance due date and applicable booking and refund terms before payment. Card payments will be processed securely by Stripe.

Can I join the early-bird offer?

We are finalising a small introductory allocation. We will publish exactly how many places qualify, the saving and when the offer ends before checkout goes live.

Is the optional South Africa extension included?

No. We are exploring a separate four- to five-day excursion with a local operator after the retreat. Its itinerary and rand price will be set by that operator, and guests would book and pay them directly. There is no obligation to join.

Is it safe to travel to South Africa on my own?

South Africa is a wonderful destination, but it also has travel risks. We intend to organise a coordinated Cape Town airport transfer window and transport for the planned group outings, and to send practical guidance ahead of time. As with any international journey, follow current government travel advice, keep valuables secure and arrange suitable travel insurance. Please ask us about any specific concern before booking.

Will the retreat be in English?

Yes, the retreat is facilitated in English. We hope to provide selected translated information to help international guests make an informed decision.

Where is Struisbaai, and how do I get there?

Struisbaai is a coastal town in the Western Cape, near Africa's southernmost point at Cape Agulhas. Most international guests will fly into Cape Town, then continue by road. We plan a single coordinated airport transfer window, charged separately, with a journey of roughly three hours. Final transfer times, route and travel guidance will be confirmed before booking.
